Meet the Zombiesons

Ruby Holler

Today I'm reading Ruby Holler by Sharon Creech.
It was funny when Dallas forgot the canteen and the compass and Sairy forgot the matches for the fire when Sairy & Dallas went hiking. My favourite character is Dallas because when Dallas and Florida were with Mr and Mrs Trepid, Joey died and Dallas tried to save his life but it was to late and he is very kind to his twin Florida by cheering her up when she was sad and scared. I think Mr. Trepid will steel all the money in the understone funds were Sairy and Tiller put there money. My least favourite character is the Trepids because they hate kids and make the kids in Boxton creek home do a lot of dirty work.

Zinny Taylor

Zinny Taylor
Zinny Taylor is a main character in the novel called chasing RedBird by Sharon Creech. She is a 13 year old girl who lives on a farm with her large family in By banks Kentucky.

Zinny feels excluded from her family because she is different from them. They are boisterous and she is quiet and introverted. Zinny is guilty because she gave Rose the Whooping cough when she was four.

Zinny looks like her mother with long skinny legs and light skin. She wears dark clothing and has a small nose and brown eyes and long dark hair.

Zinny behaviour is odd because she talks to Rose who is dead and tells fibs about Jake Boone. She doesn't talk much but she is responsible and secretive.

Zinny blames herself for thing that aren't her fault and is withdrawn. She is very intelligent but very quiet.

Zinny Taylor is an amazing character that the readers would like because she is different from other that is interesting.

The Royal Diaries

Today I'm reading Elisabeth. The Princess Bride. My favourite character is poppy because he accepts his daughters for who they are. My least favourite character is Mama because she always gets what she wants and she only cares about her daughters getting married and she cares about the fortune for her family in the future.

My Trip to Underwater World

On Monday 4/5J, 4/5R and 4/5 B went camping. We went to school with our camping clothes and we had to bring our lunch Monday and Tuesday. We went to church because it was SJV day and some of us had to do a reading.At class Mrs J didn't want us to do work so we had free time and we watched Night at the Museum.We left at 2:00 pm and we arrived at Underwater World at about 4:00 pm.We put our bags down and had afternoon tea. When we finished afternoon tea we got our bags and went inside. We put our bags inside a room and split into 2 groups and then we split into another 2 groups. My group was called the sharks I think. We all did the same things but at different times. My group had a tour of the walk way with the lights on,and later on we are going to look at them at night. We looked at more sea animals and fed the sharks. Then we went to the seal show and it was amazing. For dinner we had chips and burgers. For dessert we had a choice between Rainbow swirl or chocolate ice-cream. Then the sharks slept in the tunnels but the other two groups slept some where else. We changed in to our PJ's and set our sleeping bags up. We didn't change our shoes yet because we did the fire drill. Then we had a snack.We had a choice of Milo and water, and a cookie. Then we brushed our teeth and went to bed. I woke up at 11:50 pm and my friend Bridget started a talking club with some of the people that were awake.I joined the club when it was 12:00. We went around the tunnels and woke some people up by accident but they weren't sleeping. We had to wake up at 6:00 and for breakfast I had rice bobbles. We looked at Crawly Cave and took some pictures . After that we went to the beach to look for some amazing things and we saw a whale! We left after that and the time I and was really FUN!!!

Meet the Zombiesons

Today I'm reading Meet the Zombiesons. I think this book is funny because the Zombiesons have a 3 headed dog and they have a granny turning 500 and rides a skate board! And the characters are
Mrs Zombiesons, Mr Zombiesons, Zee the baby, Zigi the boy, zoey the girl and Zlobba. The 3 headed dog. My least favourite character in the book later on is Hairy (Granny's friend) because he is gross and he Flosses his brain.

C.S Lewis

This term 4/5J are reading The Lion, the Wich and the Wardrobe by C.S lewis. Here are some facts about the life of C.S Lewis.

• Born Clive Staples Lewis November 29 1898 in Belfast, Northern Ireland
• Mother died of cancer on August 23, 1908
• friend, Paddy Moore, was killed in battle and buried in the field just south of Peronne France
• 1931 became a Christian
• died at 5:30 p.m 1963 before his 65th birthday on Friday, November 22
• Charles Williams, one of Lewis's very closest of friends, died on May 15 1945
• was a close friend of J. R. R. Tolkien, the author of The Lord of the Rings
• volunteered the following year in the British Army as World War I
• continues to attract a wide readership
• Lewis was educated privatedly in Great Bookham

Pip: the story of olive

The new book I'm reading is called Pip: the story of olive by Kim Kane. I haven't read much but I think it's going to be a good book! She has a mum but Olive calls her Mog.

The Smarts

On Thursday I have to go in front of the class and teach my lass something. I have a lot of smarts so I'm just going to pick one. I am doing body I'm teaching the class about cats and kittens I might put a slide show on the blog.

The Floods

Today I am reading The Floods The great outdoors.This book is about the Floods trying to go on holiday but the Floods don't know how to go on a holiday so they do a rehearsal under the house and there was a picture of Nerlin and Valla playing in the sand.And the bit I didn't like was when they had to dig out there Grandma from under the ground and bits of her body had fallen off and they had to go with the Hulbert on the Holiday but they are just a normal human family.The bit I like was when Betty and her friend won the sand castle competition.

Clean Break

Today I had a reading response.The book I'm reading is called clean break,the mum and dad break up and he goes with a women called Sarah.They have two girls and one boy.The names of the girls are called Vite and Emerald but most people call er Em. And Maxie is the boy.When their parents break up Vite and Maxie are too young to under stand anything so Em has a hard time keeping her parents together and Maxie and Vite happy.

My wild selfs

The reason why I chose tiger hands and feet is because I was born on the year of the tiger.I chose butter fly wings because I wish I could fly.

Word Walls

Every week we have five spelling words,we pick a chant and read the back so you know what to do.My favourite chant is volcano because you have to say the letters soft then you get louder.
